Front deskn8n~2 hoursHotels

Published October 29, 2026 · OpsRecipes are tested patterns, not vendor endorsements.

Outcome: Housekeeping gets a prioritized list each morning of rooms where a late checkout collides with an early arrival.

What you need

  • Daily arrivals and departures reports (CSV) from the PMS
  • n8n
  • Slack, Teams or email

Steps

  1. Schedule Trigger: 6:30 AM daily.
  2. Read the arrivals and departures files (email attachment or shared drive).
  3. Code node: join on room type; flag departures with late checkout and arrivals with ETA before standard check-in.
  4. Code node: rank by arrival time and VIP flag; suggest swap rooms of the same type that are already vacant.
  5. Send the list to the housekeeping and front desk channel; repeat at 11:00 AM with updates.
Watch out: Plain rules beat AI here; keep the logic simple and visible.

Check your company's data and AI policies before sending guest or vendor data to any third-party tool.
