Weekly review-theme digest (n8n recipe)
Outcome: Every Monday, leadership gets the top 3 rising complaint and praise themes with example quotes, instead of a pile of raw reviews.
What you need
- Review or survey export (CSV) in Google Sheets, or your reputation tool's scheduled export
- n8n (cloud or self-hosted)
- An LLM node (e.g., OpenAI or Anthropic credentials)
- Email or Slack/Teams
Steps
- Schedule Trigger: every Monday 6:00 AM.
- Google Sheets node: read last 7 days of reviews (date, source, rating, text).
- LLM node: for each review return JSON {theme, sentiment, quote} using a fixed list of 10 themes.
- Code node: count themes this week vs. last week's counts (stored in a second sheet tab).
- LLM node: write a 150-word brief: top 3 rising themes, one quote each, one suggested owner per theme.
- Email/Slack node: send to the GM and department heads; append counts to the history tab.
Check your company's data and AI policies before sending guest or vendor data to any third-party tool.
